At Foto4Change, we’re committed to making a positive impact in the lives of young people, particularly those with disabilities. Recently, we had the privilege of visiting the Savelugu School for the Deaf, where we engaged with the members of our photography club. This visit was more than just a routine check-in; it was a day of connection, learning, and empowerment.
We spent time with these incredible students and their dedicated teachers, and their boundless excitement and passion struck us. Their excitement was infectious, and it was clear that they bring joy and energy to everything they do. Our visit was designed to support their holistic well-being, and we’re thrilled to share some of the initiatives we implemented.
Supporting Menstrual Health
One of the key areas we focused on was menstrual health. We donated sanitary pads, made possible through the generosity of our team, along with discreet bags for the girls to carry the pads to school with comfort and confidence. To promote sustainability, we introduced the concept of a Pad Bank, where the girls can access sanitary pads. To kickstart this initiative, we provided essential materials. We facilitated a hands-on workshop on sewing reusable sanitary pads, led by Shanee Galloway, BS, MAT, one of the school’s dedicated facilitators.

A Lasting Impact
These thoughtful, practical actions are making a lasting difference in the daily lives of our students. We’re grateful for the unwavering support of the teachers, who showed up in full force to stand with us. Their commitment to their students’ well-being is inspiring, and we’re honored to partner with them.
Our visit to Savelugu School for the Deaf was a reminder that real change is often stitched together through small, intentional acts. We look forward to creating many more of these impactful moments, empowering young lives, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and support. Through our initiatives, we aim to make a positive difference in the lives of our students, helping them to thrive and reach their full potential.
A Brighter Future
We believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their abilities or background. At Foto4Change, we’re committed to supporting the Savelugu School for the Deaf and other organizations that share our vision of a brighter future for all.
